Acabam de ser anunciados pela Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas os nomeados para a 76ª edição dos Óscares, com cerimónia de atribuição marcada para 29 de Fevereiro.
Os filmes com maior número de nomeações são: “O Senhor dos Anéis – O Regresso do Rei” (11 nomeações) e “Master and Commander - O Lado Longínquo do Mundo” (10 nomeações).
Concorrem ao Óscar de melhor filme: “The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King – O Senhor dos Anéis”, “Lost in Translation”, “Master and Commander”, “Mystic River” e “Seabiscuit – Nascido para Vencer”.
À categoria de Melhor Realizador, foram nomeados: “City of God”, “The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King – O Senhor dos Anéis”, “Lost in Translation”, “Master and Commander” e “Mystic River”.
As nomeações para Melhor Actor foram para: Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean), Ben Kingsley (House of Sand and Fog), Jude Law (Cold Mountain), Bill Murray (Lost in Translation) e Sean Penn (Mystic River).
Para Melhor Actriz, foram designadas: Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider), Diane Keaton (Something’s Gotta Give), Samantha Morton (In America), Charlize Theron (Monster) e Naomi Watts (21 Grams).
